The mansion has three guest rooms furnished according to the historical and naturalistic environment. The guests can relax under the two porticos (at two different levels), on the wide terrace, in the garden and in the courtyard with the ancient wisteria.

TREKKING Guided tour and excursions on foot (half day| 3-4 hours)
1. Varese: civil side and religious side
Varese, chief town of the homonymous province since 1927, preserves valuable examples architecture and representative art, from the Middle Ages to the ‘900s. Its visit links up the most representative civil and religious places, up to Varese election as the “garden city”, for the richness of marvellous us villas surrounded by parks and gardens.
2. The Holy Mount of Varese (UNESCO site)
Easy walk along the cobble route (about 2 kms long) dedicated to the cult of t the Holy Virgin. It is made up of 14 marvellous chapels of XVII century, housing terracotta statues and frescoes telling the three mysteries of the Rosary. The Sanctuary is perched on the top of the walking path; it is rich in works of art and, around it there are a monastery and a village full of history and charm as well as dotted with scenic views from where you can admire the natural beauty of the land. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
3. Arcumeggia: the painted village
Short walk along the narrow cobbled ways in the small village, portion of the municipality of Casalzuigno, nestling in the green heart of Valcuvia. This small rural town became, during 1956, the first painted village in Italy, thanks to the work of some important Italian artists who painted the walls of the houses, representing the artistic currents of the main trends of the mid-20th century.
4. Castello Cabiaglio
Guided visit of the ancient village, engaged in the fantastic natural screen of the Campo dei Fiori mountain massif, to learn and appreciate the history of the village and the valleys, and to admire the important artistic and architectonic spots, such as the church of St. Appiano, frescoed by Giovanni Battista Ronchelli, a well-known painter born in Castello Cabiaglio during the 18th century, public lavatories and charming villas.
5. Brinzio, rural village
Brinzio is the only municipality totally included in the territory of the “Campo dei Fiori” regional park. The visit will be mostly developed in the heart of the village, in order to admire its rural characteristics and to learn the life of farmers in this territory visiting its important museum. The second part of the visit will de dedicated to admire the several natural beauties around the little lake, not far from the centre of the village.
6. Valganna: nature and art on the tracks of St. Gemolo
Brief walk in the green Valganna, in order to admire the natural beauties and visit the Abbey of St. Gemolo, since the middle age important religious centre for the history and growth of the valley. The tourist will discover a land rich in legends, art and nature. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
7. Azzio and its Franciscan convent
Visit through the peaceful village laid down the northern part of the “Campo dei Fiori” Regional Park, well known for the presence of an ex Franciscan convent dedicated to SS. Antonio and Eusebio. The church, considered as a National Monument, preserves frescoes dated back to 18th century, painted by Giovan Battista Ronchelli, and outside it is enriched by a Way of the Cross.
8. Museo Salvin - Cocquio Trevisago
The visit will take place through the historic centre of this little village, where the tourist can admire the church of St. Andrea and the important Museum dedicated to Innocente Salvini (1889-1979), a local expressionist painter. The museum is situated inside an ancient mill, still working thanks to the water of the Tinella river.
9. Della Porta Bozzolo Villa
Guided visit to one of the most beautiful villas in the province of Varese, built-up starting from 16th century as a country residence and then transformed into a place of delights. Fantastic French park on the natural slope of the hill, where the tourist can admire all the beauties of the Valcuvia.
10. Museo Floriano Bodini - Gemonio
Guided visit to admire the treasures in the little town of Gemonio, starting from the Romanic church of St. Pietro, then the church of St. Rocco, arriving to the Museum dedicated to Floriano Bodini (1933-2005), an important national artist. An ancient farmhouse with a typical architecture which is, nowadays, the seat of an important collection of sculptures. The visit only can take place on Sunday.

1. Sacro Monte and Campo dei Fiori: art and nature not far from Varese centre
Excursion to discover the Holy Mount of Varese, very important site rich in mannerist art, and the wide panoramas by the northern mountainside of the Monte Campo dei Fiori. An excursion that will allow the tourist to know masterpieces created by the human being and other created directly by the nature. Excursion in mountain environment with a medium engage; comfortable shoes and wear are recommended.
2. Arcumeggia, the painted village, and ascent to Monte San Martino
Short walk along the narrow cobbled ways in the small village, portion of the municipality of Casalzuigno, nestling in the green heart of Valcuvia. This small rural town became, during 1956, the first painted village in Italy, thanks to the work of some important Italian artists who painted the walls of the houses, representing the artistic currents of the main trends of the mid-20th century. At the end of the visit, a medium engaged excursion through ancient mule track and military routes to the top of the Mount San Martino (1087 m. - about 2 hours walking long), important place during the Second World War. An important lesson of art and recent history, more than fantastic views on the Valcuvia and on the Lake Maggiore. Excursion in mountain environment with a medium engage; comfortable shoes and wear are recommended.

The province of Varese is knows as the land of lakes, distinguished by natural charming landscape, make precious by monuments rich in art and history. Close to the magnificent Borromean Rock, built on a steep rock on the Lake Maggiore, the tourist will be fascinated by centuries of history hold between the thick walls. After a short walk through the centre of Angera, important touristic centre, the visit will proceed to another spectacular site: the Hermitage of St. Caterina del Sasso, ancient refuge of religious men since the middle-ages and nowadays one of the symbols of the province. (Rock of Angera) Entrance fee (from 26th March to 20th October) 3. Piedmontese side of the Lake Maggiore and visit of the Borromean Islands.
The western part of the Lake Maggiore is a very important touristic destination: the romantic promenade on the lakeside, the elegance of the hotels built during the last centuries, and the panoramas over the hills and mountains surrounding the lake are treasures that a tourist cannot miss. The visit will allow to discover little towns near the lake and, with a short transfer on typical boat, the beauties of the Borromean Islands, admiring the Fishermen’s Isle, nowadays a touristic village with peculiar architectures, then the Isola Bella, with its massive baroque palace and adjacent garden with terraces.

MOUNTAIN BIKE Excursion with the Mountain Bike (ca. 03/04 hours) departure and arrival at Castello Cabiaglio
1. Ring of the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park (trail n. 10)
This nice excursione gives you the possibility to descover some of the most evocative corners of the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park, along the trail n. 10 that runs around the entire area of this mountain. A medium-difficult pleasant cycle ride,(some part on a rocky trail) during which you can admire very interestin spots of this rural area.
2. Valganna e Brinzio (MTB)
A tour without technical obstacles, but with some hill to overrun that bring you to know the green Valganna, with its important benedictine abbey and its legends, in order to continue to the discover of the surroundings of Varese with several pleasant artistic and natural elements. At last, Brinzio, little rural village totally included in the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park that keeps an ancient appearance.
3. Monte Chiusarella, Monte Martica e Brinzio (MTB)
A medium-challenging itinerary with a long rise on a military carriage will bring you to admire some of the best scenery of our Province. Then you jump down in a long descent in the forest to reach Brinzio end, in a short time, Castello Cabiaglio.

The price includes only the service of the Tourist and Excursion Guide; it does not include any meal or entrance in museums/monuments. All these services will be payed directly on the spot and upon accordance with the Guide.
Time and starting point of every visit/excursion will be settled with the Guide. When the departure is from your B&B, the transfer will be provided with Client’s car (or with the Guide’s car with a overcharge to communicate).
We recommend comfortable clothes and shoes for all visits and excursions. For all the excursions in mountain environmental we recomment to contact the Guide for omplete informations about the equipment. During all the MTB excursions all Clients must wear the helmet and take a personal sport bottle. If you have not your personal helmet and/or sport bottle, you are pleased to inform the B&B Director that will provide them for you (with a overcharge).
